El-Vaquero was established in 2007
When I visited the London Equestrian Centre in North London, the surroundings reminded me of South America, and the El-vaquero concept was born.
It was an instant success, attract patrons from all over London and further afield.
As the reputation of the restaurant grew, I decided to move location to a more spacious venue.
My love for El-vaquero, the unique concept, wonderful food & atmosphere encourages me to open a new restaurant, an upgraded version of the same concept โ in Belsize Park โ Charro De Rio.
Your unique experience will start with a selection of fresh, daily made salads and hot dishes.
Then our Passadors will serve you skewers of succulent meats straight from our charcoal BBQ carved to your plate.
We offer Filet Mignon, Wagyu, Picanha, Rib Eye, Smoked Ribs and many more kinds of top quality meats, Lamb and Chicken.
To accompany your meal, try our sophisticated wine list and amazing cocktail selection. We offer a divine dessert menu to complete your dining adventure.

Fantastic Restaurant 5 Iโve eaten here many times and it never disappoints.
The food is delicious
The staff are attentive and itโs great value for money.
You always leave feeling stuffed so you have to make sure you really are hungry upon arrival.
Itโs carnivore heaven but itโs also great for vegetarians as there is a wonderful salad bar, and also great for pescatarians, you have to pre order fish when you book, the fish is delicious also. So well cooked and very fresh.
After your meal they offer you barbecued pineapple and a Giant Marshmallow, which after a large Meal is a great palate cleanser and I nice little touch.
They also have a fab dessert menu if you love dessert. The Curros are my favourite, they come with a little pot of maple syrup or chocolate sauce to dunk them. Food heaven โค๏ธ
