Learning for Life Charity (LFLC) runs a post-employment service that provides needs-based Access to Work funding and job coaching for young people with SEND. Working closely with individuals who have graduated from West Lea School’s Supported Internship Programme, LFLC Job Coaches provide ‘hands on’ workplace support to early career employees (aged 19-25) and their employers. To flourish in this highly rewarding and varied role, you’ll be an adaptable people person and an effective communicator with a desire to bring about fairer, more inclusive and equitable workplaces. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to support young people with SEND to transition into employment and take their first steps towards independence. This is a casual worker contract, paying £25 per hour. You can expect to work approximately 12 to 16 hours a week. There may be an opportunity to increase your hours as we expand the programme.
